Kern Government Television (KGOV-TV) – Kern County, California

Kern Government Television (KGOV-TV) is the local cable TV station owned and operated by the County of Kern. KGOV’s programming is an educational blend of live programming, pre-recorded shows and informational vignettes.

KGOV is proud to broadcast the Kern County Board of Supervisors meetings live during every Tuesday morning and afternoon session. The sessions are also broadcast later in the week.

KGOV broadcasts the Kern County Planning Commission meetings live as well. In addition to these live broadcasts; Kern Council of Governments and Kern Medical Center meetings are taped for broadcast.

Live Election Results, The State of the County Breakfast, the Economic Summit and the “Open Doors to Federal Courts” series are additional projects under the KGOV umbrella. As an additional public service, we provide copies of all recorded programs – on request.

A growing specialty for KGOV is the on-location videotaping and in-studio post-production of informational programs for county departments. The programs, produced in varying lengths, are an effective way to market county services.

In addition to watching KGOV on cable, viewers can watch current offerings on their computer via KGOV-Live.
